Ministries

New Life maintains many ministries where your participation is welcome and encouraged. It is a rich and rewarding experience to work together as the "Body of Christ" reaching out in love through service in His name. Keep faithful to Him who called us.

Where is God calling you to serve?

"Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can."  (Charles Wesley 1707-1788)

Pathway Ministries

One of our ministries is called "Pathway to Freedom." Pathway is a one year residential program. Our purpose is to provide guidance and support for those dealing with substance abuse; to introduce them to a life in Christ Jesus; and once they have accepted that life, to equip them to live accordingly.

Pathway has a uniquely Biblical approach to the problems of emotional    instability and substance abuse, providing habilitation rather than rehabilitation.
Traditional programs focus on returning an addict to sobriety through rehabilitation (literally: "making suitable or useful again"). Pathway views the addict from a Biblical approach, seeking to make the participant a new creation (habilitation) who for the very first time is truly fit to live the life God intended.

MCREST   (Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team)

"When did we see you a stranger and make you welcome?
I tell you solemnly, in so far as you did this to the least of these brothers
and sisters of mine, you did it to me..."  --Matthew 25:40

Each year New Life opens its facilities and our hearts to the homeless community.  What a privilege it is to invite our brothers and sisters to stay with us in their time of need.
This year we will be hosting MCREST the week of Sunday, 5-7-2006 to Sunday, 5-14-2006.

 Prayer Chain Ministry

"To lift up special requests to our Lord in a multitude of prayers bonded together by each member in a chain."

When a church family member has an urgent prayer need, they should call the leaders, who will take the request, pray about it and pass it on to the next person on the list, until the chain is completed.
